Introduction
The Extraordinary World of Pirates is a treasure trove of maths, literacy, science and history resources and activities, all delivering learning through “Pirates”. Whether you build your own immersive scheme of work or just select the ones you want, you’re bound to discover more than a few gems!
This workshop has been designed to accommodate up to a two-form entry school in a single day.

Resource Description
Who is it for?
You will find resources here for all year groups from EYFS/P1 to Year 6/P7. Each class teacher will be able to plan their own day, by searching all the age appropriate activities for the children they teach.
What is included?
All of the resources have been designed in line with National Curriculum requirements and include Maths, Literacy, Science and History. You can choose to take part in the whole-school maths challenge, The Hidden Treasure before moving on to Pirate Measurements or how about Pirate Time? Perhaps you’d like to spend an hour on one of the brilliant drama activities, exploring the life of a pirate, and follow this up with a literacy activity like Similes for Sale. Or, you might choose to explore Pirate History through Talking Timelines. There is more than enough content for you to plan the perfect day for your class.
How does it work?
Once you have purchased the day you and your colleagues will have access to the whole bank of Extraordinary World of Pirates resources to use how and when you please. Class teachers can choose to use the timetable we have provided or use the editable framework to design a bespoke day of activity. Of course, you don’t have to use the resources as part of a whole-school event. You may want to run day for just one key stage, one year group, or even just one class.
