With both World Maths Day (May 5th) and NSPCC Number Day (May 7th) coming up fast, why not enthuse your pupils about numbers with our free maths assembly film? Lasting about fifteen minutes, and suitable for all age groups from Reception/P1 to Year 6/P7, this snappy introduction to the world of numbers supports pupils in seeing just how relevant numbers are to our everyday lives – and ways in which nature itself uses number patterns. And, as you’d expect from As Creatives, far from being a passive experience, the film offers children and classes the chance to take part in quick number challenges throughout!

NSPCC Number Day is a maths-inspired fundraising day for children in nursery right through to secondary school, with free downloadable activities suitable for all ages and abilities. On this day, children take part in a number of maths activities and are encouraged to make a donation and wear an item of clothing with a number on it.

The NSPCC are encouraging schools to sign-up to Number Day 2020 by visiting www.nspcc.org.uk/numberday. Once registered teachers will have access to the Number Day website where they can download free resources and activities.

You will be able to view our free Maths Assembly from Friday 30th April on our Youtube channel.
