Job Specification

As Creatives is a creative education company working in schools across the UK and beyond. We are currently recruiting a Digital Marketing Assistant to help raise the profile of our work and support the growth of the organisation. This is a great opportunity to build experience working within a small, busy creative education organisation whilst helping to develop and implement a successful marketing programme.

We are looking for someone with a background in - or passion for - marketing, who wants to pursue a career in this area. Ideally, you will have an interest in the arts, creativity and education. You will be required to audit our current social media presence and to gain an understanding of how our clients interact and engage on these platforms before developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement. Some analysis of the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy would be expected, as well as offering monthly reports to the team, outlining any suggested changes to the overall digital marketing plan. We are looking for someone to create captivating content for the organisation’s social media site, printed materials and website, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content.

Alongside this, you will be asked to review our current wider e-marketing strategy - and to create content that could be used for this. It's crucial that you stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies, developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the core team. We would love to welcome someone who has the imagination to develop and oversee competitions and campaigns that draw attention to our brand. To ensure campaigns are effective, we would like you to monitor and respond to customer feedback, comments and social media posts. This role would see you liaising with our marketing manager to create a holistic and effective online marketing strategy. Other tasks will include undertaking keyword research to identify trends and opportunities and updating and managing mailing lists, as required.

Essential Skills

Previous experience in a similar role is not required, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Canva, copywriting, photography and design would be an added advantage. You will need a sound understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics and keyword search and will have experience of working with a wide range of social media platforms. As well as the ability to think strategically and creatively, you should be able to multitask and to perform under pressure. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good level of written English and have great communication skills.
