As Creatives in conjunction with Liverpool John Moores University has been working with senior teachers from primary and secondary schools to explore how entrepreneurial characteristics can be nurtured throughout the school community in order to increase learner attainment.
The event was a CPD opportunity for school leaders and teachers who engaged in a quality, interactive and enjoyable experience exploring the 5 Rs (resilience, risk, resourcefulness, relationships and reflection) and how these 5 Rs can be used to develop enterprise skills.
The teachers and leaders first focused on recognising enterprise skills in developing school leadership, and then went on to consider the development of enterprise skills in teachers in order to inject outstanding teaching and learning in their lessons.
Here is what two participants said about the workshop;
“Thank you for an uplifiting afternoon - and for revitalising my enterprise verve!" (Head of Business Studies, North Liverpool Academy)
“Practical, engaging, enjoyable and memorable" (Headteacher, St Celilia's Primary)
The event took place at The Automatic, LJMU’s creative development space and was a fringe event for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress.
