School Workshops
Exploring Evolution
Most of us take Darwin’s ideas of natural selection, and the theory that all life is in a constant state of change, for granted – though they caused a right old rumpus back in 1859!

Introduction
Exploring Evolution introduces pupils to the story of life on Planet Earth – from the first, primitive cells in the oceans to humans and the other Great Apes. Children will explore the life of Charles Darwin and come to an understanding that he and his work existed within the context of other evolutionary scientists.

Workshop FAQs
How many pupils can take part?
Exploring Evolution can accommodate up-to 30 pupils per workshop in sessions lasting around an hour.
What is the format of the day?
We will work with you to plan a timetable, based on the number of classes you would like to take part and the timings of your school day. This workshop can last anywhere from 1-hour to half-a-day.
Are there any technical requirements?
Each working space needs to be equipped with laptop/screen/projector, so pupils can view the supporting PowerPoint throughout.
Where will the workshops take place?
This workshop is active and works best in a school hall. A large classroom with desks and chairs stowed away as far as possible is fine.
